Purpose of the App

SchulPrompt supports students from about age 10, teachers and people in a school learning context in creating and testing structured prompts for learning and teaching situations.

No Advertising, Tracking or Analytics SDKs

The app contains no advertising, uses no tracking technologies and includes no analytics SDKs. No user accounts are created with the provider of this app.

Business Model

The app is offered as a paid app for a one-time purchase of €2.99. There is no advertising, no subscriptions and no in-app purchases.

Processing in the App

Form inputs, added background texts, generated prompts and AI answers are processed within the app. API keys are stored locally in the iOS Keychain. The provider of this app does not operate a dedicated server or database for these contents.

Local AI

When local AI is used, processing takes place on the device, provided Apple Foundation Models are available on that device. In this mode, prompts, background texts and AI answers are not sent to an external AI provider.

External AI Providers

The app can optionally be connected to external AI providers. If API mode is enabled, the system prompt, entries and user prompt, added background texts, follow-up questions, and the API key for authentication are transmitted directly from the device to the selected provider over an encrypted HTTPS connection. The recipient is explicitly identified in the app before activation. Current possible providers are OpenAI, Google Gemini, Mistral, Alibaba/Qwen, xAI/Grok and Anthropic. The provider processes this content solely to generate the AI response requested by the user and return it to the app. The app developer does not receive this content.

The app requests explicit consent before the first transmission and again after a provider change. Consent can be withdrawn at any time by disabling API mode. No data is transmitted to an external AI provider without consent. Users supply their own API key and therefore have a direct contractual relationship with the selected provider.

The selected provider's privacy policy and terms also apply. The app only integrates providers whose published privacy commitments provide appropriate safeguards under applicable data protection law. Details about storage, retention, and possible use by the provider are governed by the terms of OpenAI, Google Gemini, Mistral AI, Alibaba Cloud/Qwen, xAI, or Anthropic, respectively.

School Use and Personal Data

Personal data of students should not be transmitted to external AI providers unless there is school, contractual or legal approval. When using the app in class, the requirements of the respective school, school authority and responsible data protection bodies must be observed.

Copying and Use Outside the App

The app offers the option to copy prompts or answers. If content is then used in other apps, websites, AI systems or learning platforms, the privacy policies of the respective external service apply.

Contact

If you contact us by email, the transmitted data will be processed to handle the request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. If the contact relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR also applies.

Rights of Data Subjects

Under the GDPR, you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority.
